What Small Business Bliss is about

I get that many small business owners are working on a tight budget, and don’t have a ton of coin to spend on marketing. That’s what this site is all about – me sharing my expertise and passions to help out those of you who can’t afford to hire a marketing consultant.

I definitely focus on the online stuff. Not only is this where the future of marketing lies, but it’s also the most cost effective channel there is. It’s where small businesses can truly shine and take on the big boys, without the huge budgets needed for traditional media. Cheers to that!

I find that alot of information available online about internet marketing is NOT meant for small businesses. It’s either too complicated, or it does not address the goals of small biz owners. In fact, in many cases the advice I give might be the complete opposite of what you might have read out there on the web. I’m here to help you make sense of internet marketing, and show you how it can be profitable and enjoyable for your little biz. Not an overwhelming, stressful mess of techniques and tactics that aren’t relevant to your needs.

What it’s not about

If you’re looking to break into the internet marketing world, and build your online empire by becoming a professional blogger, digital product maker and/or affiliate marketer, this might not be the right place for you. If you’re new to online marketing, definitely stick around as I do provide lots of tools and info that will help you get started. But otherwise, feel free to get in touch with me if you’re looking for some more advanced techniques. I can certainly point you in the right direction.

What I’m about

I love marketing. I love small business. Bringing them together is my bliss.

Why do I love small business? I simply adore seeing people doing what they love, and succeeding. Calling their own shots and sharing their passion with the world. I WANT small businesses to succeed.

Because I believe that they are part of a better world.

A world of freedom.

Of choice.

Of following your dreams.

Of doing what YOU want.

And that’s why I love my job so much! I help small business owners who are struggling online and don’t know how to make internet marketing work for them and their success. Whether they need to take their online presence to the next level, bring it up to date, or even get something going in the first place. This can be an overwhelming task if online stuff isn’t your thing – I’m here to make it a breeze, work for your business goals and hopefully convince you along the way that being online is a whole heck of a lot of fun!

I also love to write, so if you need a copywriter for your website, blog, promo materials… you name it, I can write it!

My entrepreneurial journey

I definitely dove head first into the whole thing, that’s for sure. I was unhappy in my job, and was hunting for a new one. But the right opportunity was not coming to me (for a very good reason – I love how the universe always gives you exactly what you need!). It got to the point where I just couldn’t take it anymore, and I went for it. Starting my own marketing consultancy from home, without a clue what I was doing. I learned so much along the way… so not only am I a professional marketer, but I know exactly what the small business journey is all about. What it’s like to start your own biz from scratch, and do most of it yourself. Not to mention the fact that my wonderful man started his own small business around the same time as me- there sure were some entrepreneurial juices flowing around our home. Plus I’ve worked and connected with so many small biz owners in so many different industries – I know exactly where you’re coming from and what keeps you up at night.

So if my personal experiences and marketing smarts are a help to you, my dear entrepreneur, I couldn’t ask for anything more. And I couldn’t be more jazzed!

Some personal tidbits

I live and work in North Vancouver, Canada. When I’m not crafting online marketing strategies and writing kick ass copy, you can find me in my vegetable garden, meditating, doing yoga, and spending time in my happy place – any forest or gathering of trees. Ditching the rat race is the best thing I ever decided to do! I am finally living the life that I want to be living; focusing on what’s truly important – friends, family, simple pleasures, the present moment… and of course helping small businesses kick some ass!
